Bag is worked in the round from the bottom up. Working fair-isle in the round is much easier than working back and forth in rows, because the yarn is always to the back of the work. The bottom of the bag is sewn flat before felting.
I hand-felted the sample bag, but it can be felted in a washing machine too.

Gauge:
18 sts and 19 rows = 4" in Fair Isle Stockinette stitch unfelted; 22 sts and 23 rnds = 4" in Fair Isle Stockinette Stitch felted. Take time to save time, check your gauge.
