The Daisy Beret begins at the center of the crown. Stitches are increased evenly around for several rounds, then the hat is worked even to the brim, where stitches are decreased. A ribbed band is worked, joining to the brim of the hat as it's worked around (not visible in photos, it's hidden by the ruffle trim).
A ruffle trim is created, then sewn onto the hat, just above the ribbed band. This hat is super versatile, and can be embellished in so many different ways. The ruffle trim shown in the model hat was designed to match the Ruffle Scarf. It can be omitted, leaving just the simple ribbed band around the edge. Lazy daisies can be added to the crown, or get creative and style it your own way.
